Suddenly, What?

"Suddenly, It's Real" is Ben Floeter & Natalie Wright, formerly of Pancake Dinner. When we decided to officially join forces, we thought long and hard for the perfect name. It was a difficult process and we stumbled around with a few names that just didn't fit.

One day, we were having dinner with Ben’s youngest brother Ian. Just before taking a bite of the Vegan BBQ "chicken" wings, Ben said "Suddenly, It's Real!". A light bulb came on and we KNEW this was it! This would be the name of our little handmade business!

But wait....there is more to the story...

"Suddenly, It's Real" is a quote the Floeter family has been saying for over 20 years. During a family vacation at Niagara Falls in the mid 1980’s, Ben and his younger brother Luke were playing with their new souvenirs. Luke was tearing around the campground pretending to chop things with his rawhide Tomahawk, complete with raccoon tail when he stopped and announced, “SUDDENLY! IT’S REAL!”

We like to think that the things we make provoke imagination with gusto! It is also the same sensation we get when shaping our raw materials into a finished piece of art. We have been dreaming of the day that our work would come together in the way that our lives have come together, and watching this unfold, well! Yes! “Suddenly, It’s Real!”
